Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What time does school start?
A. The bell rings at 8:05. First graders line up on the far right side of the blacktop, across from the tennis courts. Look for the chair labeled with Ms. Gennett's First Grade! On our first couple of days of school, there will be extra staff members outside to help students find the first grade lines. We will wait for all of the busses to arrive before our classroom goes inside.
After the first 2 weeks of school, children are to come right into the classroom when the bell rings at 8:05. Please give kisses and hugs outside before you send your child in as it makes the transition into the morning go more smoothly. Instruction starts at 8:15.
Q. What time does school end?
A. 3:05 - Parent Pick-up and YMCA are located in the cafeteria. Bus children line up in the gym and walkers line up in the first grade hallway. If your child is a walker, please wait outside on the front steps and not inside the front lobby.
